Fatal collision near Peasedown St John under investigation

Police are appealing for witnesses following a fatal collision on the A367 at Dunkerton Hill near Peasedown St John at around 10.45am today (Wednesday 3 March).

A woman driving one of the cars involved in the collision sadly died as a result of her injuries. The driver of a second car was taken to hospital with minor injuries.

Police are specifically appealing for any passing drivers who may have dash cam footage of the accident.

The road was reported still closed at 16:00 while the scene is being examined and drivers asked to avoid the area if possible and use alternative routes.

Officers added : " We're appealing for anyone who saw this collision, and hasn't yet spoken with the police, to come forward, as well as anyone with dash cam footage which may be relevant to this investigation. If you can help, please call 101 and give the call handler the reference number 5221045724"
