Local Wombles score amazing litter picking day and get some help from the police

The local Wombles, as they call themselves, were out picking up litter across Norton Batch - and putting into good use some new grabbers donated by Ryan Church of Riverside Cleaning.

There were ten litter pickers out (March 5) and alongside 17 bags of recycling and normal rubbish, they also picked up some knives.

Thanks to the police officers who gave the team some safety tubes to dispose of them safely.

Their next meet is at the Midsomer Norton sports centre on Monday afternoon March 8 at 2pm. They will be working along the cycle path
