The litter pickers of Writhlington are back in business.

And how.

Today (June 28) they collected an incredible 12 bags.

They have been collecting since last spring and were meant to start again at the end of March but then came the lockdown.

Back today they always collect on the last Sunday of each month. You can contact them via their Facebook page or via Twitter if you want to get involved in July.

Meanwhile down in Radstock the in Bloom team has welcomed the new look B&NES anti littering signs which have gone up in Bath and Keynsham.

But they have asked they also be included in the slightly tongue in cheek campaign encouraging people not to be a tosser.

In a social media post they said: " Please don't forget that BANES covers more than Bath and Keysham. Radstock could benefit from this campaign. We are currently collecting five bags of litter a week alongside the 23 bags currently collected by Radstock town council in litter bins."
