Two key statues honouring all key workers during the coronavirus pandemic are back on the roundabout in Radstock - thanks to a lot of community help.

The statues, the work of a senior member of the local Royal British Legion had been mistakenly seen as a fly tip and removed by a cleaning crew of B&NES.

Local councillor Eleanor Jackson and Radstock Mayor Rupert Bevan worked hard to with an appeal to the council for an S.O.S. : The save our statue campaign to have them recovered from the dump and returned.

Everyone agrees it is nice to see them back on the Radstock roundabout for everyone to enjoy.

The family of the man who made them told Nub News : " Martin Feeney is very happy that they have been put back, why anyone would think they were fly-tipped is mind boggling. Can we also thank everyone on social media who helped get them back . "
