This January, Dorothy House Hospice Care is running its biggest annual Christmas Tree Collection fundraiser in partnership with the Justhelping charity. Local people can book their used Christmas tree in now for a charitable donation and Dorothy House supporters and volunteers will pick it up between 10th-12th January 2020. The collection is running in thirteen local postcodes including new to 2020 - Radstock.

Taking part is easy, visit www.charityxmastreecollection.com type in your postcode to check that your area is covered, make a donation and list where your tree will be located. Dorothy House asks for a donation to help fund their specialist palliative and end of life care services provided by the Hospice free of charge. All trees must be clearly marked with a label saying 'Dorothy House' and can be collected from businesses, schools, churches and offices. A percentage of trees will be chipped and shredded to make reusable materials for the community.

Last year the Hospice's Christmas Tree Collection raised £26,000.

Dorothy House's scheme is supported by many local businesses providing volunteers and vehicles including Go Self Drive, Inspired Joinery, Greenhill Treecare, Sureset, Wessex Water and Dragonfly Removals.

To book a Christmas tree collection and donate to Dorothy House please visit www.charityxmastreecollection.com. Or for more information on how you can get involved contact: Steph Cox at Dorothy House Hospice Care on [email protected].
