The Somerset Farmers' Market is looking forward to their third open air market in next door Midsomer Norton since the lockdown started to ease earlier this summer. This Saturday also promises to be the biggest and busiest for a very long time.

Louise Hall is the Market organiser and she cannot wait for the event to open on Saturday morning.

'Confidence is starting to come back, not only with our producers but also the public,' says Louise. 'There can be fewer safer environments than an open air market. However, as we have done from the post lockdown resumption we have ensured that everyone is entering a safe environment, with sanitiser stations, controlled numbers and a one way system.'

'We are particularly excited about this Saturday,' adds Louise. We have got one of the largest line-ups of producers we have had for very long time and it is great to see the return of the highly popular Pudding Kitchen, Wookey Goat Farm and Catalina with her Chilean food stall.'

The event takes place at Midsomer Norton's Hollies Garden this Saturday between 9am and 1pm. For anyone coming from Radstock, as well as public transport there is plenty of parking near the market.

'We are also pleased to have with us on Saturday as a guest fundraising stall, Lucy & Jeremy's Vintage,' says Louise. 'Once you have bought your sea foods, cheese, pies, flowers, meat and plants you can then stock up on Vintage-seemingly the new post-lockdown 'must-have!'

It is not just the producers who are looking forward to Saturday. William Weller is Managing Partner of one of the local leading businesses, solicitors Thatcher + Hallam. The law firm also sponsor the Somerset Farmers' Market.

'As a local businessman, I am delighted to see an organisation like the Somerset Farmers' Market help attract shoppers back into the town centre. If you are lost for something to do this Saturday morning then pop on down to The Hollies Gardens. You will not be disappointed!'
