For several years, Cllr Karen Walker has been campaigning to make sure Peasedown St John's pavements and pathways are more user friendly for everyone, especially wheelchair and scooter users.

Before Christmas, she managed to persuade Bath & North East Somerset Council to allocate funding and staff to lower pavement kerbs in two areas – both of which are popular walk routes:

- On the main walk route between Eckweek Gardens and Beacon Field

- At the Bath Road and Church Road junction

Cllr Karen Walker (Independent, Peasedown) said:

"Thanks to the council staff for their hard work, they look fantastic! These improvements will make it easier for wheelchair users and those with scooters to get around."

Peasedown Councillors, Karen Walker and Sarah Bevan, are keen to hear from any residents who have suggestions on how the public realm can be improved. To share your views email [email protected]
