It had to be one of the most talked about exhibit inside the Somerset Coalfield Life doors, with scores of Dr Who fans lining up to not only see the dalek, but take a turn to the dark side in it.
As it poured with rain outside, the museum was packed out, with a big queue of small, and not so small, fans waiting to take a turn in the evil enemy.
Among those enjoying his time being inside extraterrestrial exterminator was nine year old Rollo Thorley from Brighton, who was visiting his grandparents who live in Oakhill.
Watched by his three brothers, Rudy, Solomon and Casper, Rollo showed off some pretty impressive galatic driving skills.
Daleks might tell the Doctor: "We obey no one! We are the superior beings!" but in this case they did exactly what Rollo commanded. Mainly turning right.
The Somerset Coalfield Life Museum at Radstock has been celebrating all things cosmic this week over half term.
There have been planet hunt and special quizzes, but it certainly seemed that arrival of the dalek was extra terrestrially special.
Permanent displays in the Radstock museum tell of the life of a Somerset miner and his family and show how the communities of the coalfield were integrated.
Visitors, like the dalek, are always welcome. Details under the Red Button below.
