The development of the former Radco site is pencilled to start in the New Year.

Meantime the main car park area has now been secured off and the existing trolley sheds taken down.

What surprised Nub News when we went up to check on the space was how big the area is.

The site plans are for a new (smaller store) along with other shopping units, offices and 28 apartments on the existing supermarket site.

But on the car park area, outline planning, has been granted for the construction of 26 new homes.

The outline of what is planned for the site, which is officially in Westfield, can be found on the B&NES planning site under 18/05623/OUT
