Nicola Joins Local Family Law Team

Local solicitors Thatcher+ Hallam have announced the expansion of their Family Law team with the appointment of Nicola Cable as a consultant with the firm. William Weller is the Managing Partner at Thatcher + Hallam and he is delighted at the appointment.

'Nicola is highly experienced and brilliant with clients and it is great to now have her as part of our Family Law team,' explains William. 'Even before the pandemic and the effects of lock-down , due to client demand we were always looking to expand our Family Law team. It was however important that we had the right candidate to join our already excellent team. We are fully confident that we have that candidate in Nicola.'

Nicola joins the existing Family Law team at Thatcher Hallam, Hayley Veale (who is Head of Family Law at the firm) and Viv Savidis. The team provides advice on matters ranging from separation and divorce, to disputes over children, co-habitation and financial settlement. The firm is also now one of the very few in the south west who are able to offer legal aid (public funding) to parents and others involved in care proceedings. The firm is also renowned for its now 35-year old legal surgery which throughout the pandemic has nevertheless managed to be run remotely with great success.

Nicola Cable has spent all of her career as a specialist family law practitioner. As well as being a Fellow of the Institute of Legal Executives, Nicola is also a member of Resolution, an organisation of family law professionals committed to constructive resolution of family disputes. The areas of law that Nicola regularly deals with include financial disputes, disputes over children and the division of assets.

'I am equally delighted to be working with Hayley and Viv,' says Nicola. 'We share the same values and I know that I will feel very much at home working with them.'
