Some fascinating postcards have come to light showing how Radstock once looked.

Released to the Old Radstock site, they show a town which only a very keen historian may be able to identify.

They come from the archive of Mark Blacker, who has given Nub News permission to show the cards.

If you can't quite quite place the photo - the centre is now the Bike-It shop. To the left would be the S&D line, to the right the GWR line andt the trees on the right are the site of the current Radco building.

The Old Radstock site on social media is a fascinating place to catch up with local history and over 3,000 people regularly follow the postings. You can follow and like the page by clicking HERE : the Facebook site

But here at Nub News we are also keen to publish local history and have our own historian, Todd A Phillips, who is currently working on another piece for us.

You can read his feature on the local mines by clicking HERE : the Nub News site
