Planning news in and around Radstock includes:

At 47 North Road, Midsomer Norton an application is in to extend an existing dropped kerb, 23/00144/FUL

In Clandown, Rosemount , on Ham Hill, has applied to convert an existing garage into extra bedroom/work from home space. Details under 23/00313/FUL

The homeowners of 24A Chilcompton Road, in Midsomer Norton have applied to put up a garden shed, details under 23/00221/FUL

And in Writhlington, 19 Manor Terrace , on Manor Road, have put in an application to replace the existing rear/side extension and to for recladding works to the extension including painting the existing pebbledash render white. Details under 23/00273/FUL

And there will shortly be an application in for heat pumps on the roof of the Midsomer Norton Town Hall. Because of this, as was explained during an extra ordinary meeting of the Town Council, which Nub News did attend, an additional piece of free space will be released. So the plans for Phase II of the application for the rejuvenation of the Hall might mean slightly more space to work with. Councillors also quizzed the project manager on the toilet provision in the building, especially for those using a disability scooter, and where they will be able to stack chairs when the main hall is in use.

Planning decisions made this week by B&NES include:

A single storey rear extension can go ahead at 1 Sunridge Close, Midsomer Norton.

And they have also given the green light to a loft conversion at Belle Vue Cottage, 17A Green Tree Road, in Welton.

Finally this made Nub News smile - the news about Prince Harry's book - and all the headlines that created in newspapers, was used to date an application of "Confirmation that development approved by Planning Permission 19/01784/OUT has been lawfully commenced."

Thank you Harry for the confirmation of the date and the work beginning on application 23/00182/CLEU, that is for building nine homes at the plot at 46 Radstock Road.
