Planning news in and around Radstock this week : And Sun Chemical want a wider access road

In planning application news this week in and around Radstock:

The big Westfield company Sun Chemicals on Old Pit Road has applied to make the existing site access road wider and to create a series of passing places. You can review that application under 20/03947/FUL. A pre proposal of this plan was ' viewed favourably by the Council.' They reported that although there are existing trees and vegetation along the access road, the plans would not impact them, only grassland and insignificant vegetation.

An application has been made to extend the dining room at Whitehaven Residential Home, on the Fosseway, in Westfield, BA3 4AU. That is under reference 20/03841/FUL.

An application has been put in to convert the first floor of a shop at 50 High Street, Midsomer Norton into a residential dwelling. The application is under 20/04007/CLPU.

In Camerton, Sheephouse Farm, on Red Hill, (under application 20/04105/AGRN) the owners have applied to build an agricultural building for storing forage. (This is a resubmission of 20/01971/AGRN).

An application has been put in to build a new three bedroomed home to the rear of 1 Percival Terrace, on the Main Street, in Farrington Gurney, (reference 20/04021/FUL).This is a resubmission of an earlier application.

In Shoscombe, the holiday let at Paglinch Farm, (under reference

20/04019/HPD) has applied for prior approval for a single storey rear extension that would 1) extend beyond the rear wall of the original house by 5.95 metres 2) have a maximum height of 3.78 metres and 3) have eaves that are 2.44 metres high.

The owners of 1 Plovers Rise, in Radstock, BA3 3JT (under reference

20/04066/TCA) have applied to trim back their Silver Birch.

Paulton Rovers Social Club on Winterfield Road, in Paulton, has applied to have several conditions to the existing planning application it has made to build two detached bungalows on land to the rear of Bloomfield Rise. ( Details on reference 20/03845/COND on resubmission of 13/01497/OUT).

Approval has been granted to application 20/03602/HPD for 3 Welton Grove, Welton, in Midsomer Norton to build a single storey rear extension.

Improvements including renewing path surfaces and removing a kissing gate on land between Wellow Brook and Norton Radstock Greenway, can go ahead, planners have decided.

An application for a two storey rear extension at 3 Princes Street, in Clandown, (20/03320/FUL) has been permitted.

Planners have no objections to tree works at Littlebrook House, 13A Meadow View, in Radstock BA3 3QT (20/03496/TCA).

There is also no objection to felling a Norway Spruce at 20 Rackvernal Road, in Midsomer Norton. ( Reference 20/03497/TCA).
