Following a very busy closed season with heaps of cleaning, painting and planning, Radstock Museum re-opens again tomorrow (Saturday) with a very fresh new look.
Named in honour of Alex Hann and his generous bequest, they have six new mini exhibitions on display in our new, beautifully painted and really inviting upstairs exhibition space.
Volunteers and staff have worked really hard to bring you not one, not two but SIX exhibitions to tickle your interest:
-The Thatcher Family of Midsomer Norton-Commemorative Watches of WW1
-William Mead - the first underground fatality of Norton Hill Colliery-The 70th Anniversary of the Closure of Camerton Collieries, 1751-1950
-Alex Hann: mine safety engineer and inventor-The Greenwell Report on Radstock Collieries made for Lord Carlingford in 1883.
There's so much to see.
The museum team are hoping you will buy an annual ticket and keep on coming in.They also want to hear what you think of the makeover.
The usual intriguing Somerset Coalfield Life exhibits and displays remain. Open from 11am tomorrow.
