The A362 road, the scene of a nasty road accident earlier this week, WILL be looked at again.
The road was subject to almost a month of repairs late last year - causing widespread annoyance to motorists when the road was closed off for drainage work. The diversion added around 40 minutes journey time.
The road has always been subject to flooding around the dip just past Buckland Dinham, but it was hoped that the extensive works would have solved the issue.
Not so - so now Highways have said they WILL be going back there soon to look at the problem again.
A Somerset County Council spokesperson said: "We are aware of the current drainage issues on the A362 in Buckland Dinham. The road has been gritted as part of our winter actions. Due to the recent extreme weather conditions, many of our drainage systems have been overwhelmed. Nevertheless, our Highways team attended the site earlier this month for additional jetting to ensure maximum flow capacities were maintained. We will be back on site soon to undertake pre-scheduled additional preventative measures to further strengthen the drainage system."
