The coronavirus tiers have been assessed by the Health Secretary Matt Hancock

The tiers have been reviewed for restrictions to keep the coronavirus pandemic in check, and B&NES remains Tier 2, although due to falling numbers, Bristol and North Somerset are the only area coming down from Tier 3 to Tier 2.

This means that Radstock will continue to be subject to the High Alert restrictions it has been under since the beginning of Wednesday December 2.

Stephen Williams, Lib Dem candidate for West of England mayor, has condemned the Chancellor for failing to introduce a comprehensive plan to save jobs. 31,595 people in the West of England are currently on Universal Credit.

Liberal Democrat Treasury Spokesperson Christine Jardine criticised Rishi Sunak's "constant chop-and-change approach", urging him to put in place a proper plan to protect jobs as the Government still struggles to get a grip over rising cases of coronavirus.
