Jade Ogden uses wool from sheep on the Mendips

A new pop-up studio shop will today (October 15) be open at Farrington's Farm with locally crafted goods and a chance to see the work being created.

The Handloom Room is a small enterprise run by local hand-weaver Jade Ogden. Alongside selling her handwoven scarves and other crafts, Jade will be weaving in the shop on her table loom, giving you the opportunity to see the traditional craft in action.

Lansdown Road in Bath

New signs informing drivers about the temporary bus gate at the junction of Milsom Street and George Street in Bath have been put up ahead of cameras being switched on later this month.

The signs are now on the route leading up to the junction at Gay Street, George St, Lansdown Road and the Paragon to alert motorists to the bus lane restriction which first came into force on July 6.

Residents in receipt of welfare benefits in Bath and North East Somerset whose earnings will be affected after being told to self-isolate by NHS Test and Trace will be able to apply for a £500 Government support grant from today (October 12).

The Test and Trace Support Grant will be administered by Bath & North East Somerset Council and people who think they are eligible can apply online.
