Wells Festival of Literature will definitely take place this October. Fans can look forward to a new version of this highly popular event. The organising committee has met all the safeguarding challenges posed by the pandemic and will be offering a new style festival.

This will take the form of a hybrid experience with a maximum audience of 100 in Cedars Hall combined with live, highly professional streaming on-line of the whole festival for a wider audience. In the event of lockdowns, the authors have committed to a live streamed event on-line.

Curo will complete the first Passivhaus-certified homes in B&NES this autumn

Housing association and housebuilder Curo are on track to delivering the first ultra energy efficient homes in Bath & North East Somerset this autumn.

Curo are building four Passivhaus-certified houses at their 700-home Mulberry Park development in Combe Down, Bath. The three-bedroom homes will be let at social rent to local families on B&NES Council's waiting list.

A plea has gone out urging people not to dump their used facemasks or gloves as litter in parks, open spaces and streets in Bath and North East Somerset.

As part of the council's anti-littering campaign 'Don't be a tosser' a reminder is going out about properly disposing of unwanted face coverings, gloves or personal protective equipment.
