A new map to help motorists locate disabled access parking bays in Bath has been produced by Bath & North East Somerset Council.

Volunteers in Peasedown St John have been getting their hands dirty for National Allotment Week.

Nominations close next week in Peasedown St John for the village's Sara Holley Community Award – launched nine years ago in memory of one of its most popular residents.

In April 2011 Sara Holley, who was well known and respected for her love of the community, unexpectedly passed away at the age of forty-three.

Radstock Nub News has been welcomed to the re-opened Somerset Coalfield Life at Radstock Museum ; with the welcoming Treasurer not sure what to expect as it threw open the doors after coronavirus.

The Museum re-opened today (August 16) at 2pm and will be open again on Wednesday.

The managers have confirmed what Radstock Nub News had already reported that Radco will close a week today.

The store will be closing its doors at 5pm on Saturday 22nd August in order to prepare for the next phase in the redevelopment of the site.

Bath Municipal Skittles League secretary Paul Hopkins believes it could be at least another year before the popular pub game restarts in Somerset.

The season curtailed on 12 March 2020 and was declared null and void with some teams having five matches remaining.

Housing association and housebuilder Curo are on track to delivering the first ultra energy efficient homes in Bath & North East Somerset this autumn.

Curo are building four Passivhaus-certified houses at their 700-home Mulberry Park development in Combe Down, Bath. The three-bedroom homes will be let at social rent to local families on B&NES Council's waiting list.

A plea has gone out urging people not to dump their used facemasks or gloves as litter in parks, open spaces and streets in Bath and North East Somerset.

As part of the council's anti-littering campaign 'Don't be a tosser' a reminder is going out about properly disposing of unwanted face coverings, gloves or personal protective equipment.
