Firm favourites at the club, these lads are great fun, incredibly talented. Playing upbeat party music, a heady mix of sublime pop, hard rock and old school funk, their energy and enthusiasm is infectious – ideal for the party and sure to have everyone on their feet for a boogie as we count down to the New Year.

A barrow of laughs in the mists of the Mendips is a winner

And they are off, it was a race of sorts and everyone wanted to win

A fundraiser for The Mendip School in Shepton Mallet was all the excuse needed for a fun wheelbarrow race, the first of its kind, around Binegar today.

It was the first time the village had come together for this kind of race, which started and finished at the aptly named Horse and Jockey pub. It might date from the 18th Century but some of the costumes were a very modern take on a scarecrow. A few of the teams were definitely in it to win it, and wore trainers and shorts, while others were just happy to be there to support the landlady of the pub, Nikki Hutchison, whose son Jack attends the popular school.

This very distinctive - and expensive - bike has been stolen

Radstock is one of the UK's greatest cycling routes and is hugely popular especially during the holidays. So the police are appealing for the cycling world's help in recovering a distinctive mountain bike.

It was taken from a premises in Bath and even second- hand is worth several thousand pounds.
