Flytipping  Eastdown Road (July 6)

The Environment Agency has responded to national media reports that just 3.6% of complaints about pollution, fly-tipping, oil spills, fish kills and other environmental damage last year resulted in penalties for those responsible.

The Guardian newspaper made the request for figures under a Freedom of Information request but this morning (July 210 the EA responded with an extensive list of statistics.

Frome-based counselling charity We Hear You (WHY) have received a donation of £725 from The Somerset Collective's recent online pop-up sale.

The Somerset Collective, led by Jess Hyde, is an organisation that showcases small businesses, designers and makers in Somerset and brings them together for a series of pop-up sales throughout the year, often hosted by At the Chapel in Bruton. Each sale raises money for charity, with almost £8,000 raised to date.

A group of local churches in the Peasedown St John, Shoscombe, Foxcote and Wellow area have waved goodbye to one of their clergy.

Cath Candish, who spent many years living on a farm in Exmoor, was appointed two years ago as the 'Ordinand in Training' – a role that has allowed her to both study and work out 'on the field' throughout the week.

A report outlining the progress made on Bath's Clean Air Zone including government funding and additional assistance to help businesses struggling with the impact of COVID-19 to adapt to the zone, is to go before Bath & North East Somerset Council's cabinet.

Bath's Clean Air Zone (CAZ), which will not charge cars, was due to be switched on in November but has been delayed due to Covid-19.
