Key workers and people unable to work from home who do not have any coronavirus symptoms will be able to book rapid lateral flow tests in Bath to help prevent the spread of the virus from today (February 24).

Bath & North East Somerset Council is opening its first rapid Covid-19 test site at the Apex Hotel in Bath to test if key workers with no symptoms of Covid are unknowingly spreading the virus and to help them know when they need to isolate.

The former Radco site in Radstock is today (February 24) shuttered up

It was eerily quiet over at the old Radco store in the centre of Radstock today (February 24) with the local bakery company Maiseys Bakery now having vacated the premises.

With that area now cleared the building work can now begin at the site, bordered between the A362 Somervale Road to the north and the A367 Wells Road to the south .

A diverse panel of health and care experts from across Bath and North East Somerset, Swindon and Wiltshire are set to chair an online question and answer session to help provide reassurance on the coronavirus vaccine to concerned people from the region's black, Asian and minority ethnic communities.

Taking place virtually between 6pm and 7.30pm on Thursday 4 March, the Opening Doors conversation will allow those with concerns about the coronavirus vaccine to put their questions direct to local health and care experts.
