The long running application to build 81 homes on the former factory site, St Peter's continues, with an application to discharge two conditions surrounding application: 20/00780/COND.
The developers have investigated the site, checking whether it has any historical importance after seeing a map from 1867 of the Waldergrave Estate in the Manor of Radstock, which showed lime kilns on the land. A draw kiln and tunnels have now been excavated at the land at Cobblers Way, in Westfield.

The much-anticipated first diesel rail gala of the year will be on track in Midsomer Norton as normal, in spite of a slight communication problem - organisers are keen to stress.
There was some miscommunication along the line when ONE of the trains due at next weekend's gala had to pull out.

A police officer who abused his position to pursue a prosecution against a driving instructor after a heated altercation in Radstock has been dismissed without notice.
A professional standards panel heard that PC Keith James downplayed his own role and exaggerated that of Michael Lee after the pair clashed in February 2018.

A police officer who allegedly gave false evidence in court after a 'road rage' incident in Radstock broke down in tears during a misconduct hearing yesterday (February 25).
PC Keith James could lose his job if an Avon and Somerset Police panel decides the allegations against him are true and they amount to gross misconduct.
