A new metal sculpture was placed at the war memorial in Radstock today (November 8).
It was created by the Chairman of The Midsomer Norton/ Radstock Royal British Legion, Martin Feeney.

A special workshop is being held to support parishes across Bath and North East Somerset on their journey to carbon neutrality.

The local ladies who made lunches for children who needed them over half term will be donating over a £1,000 they have left over to the local foodbanks.
The trio stepped in when the government voted down an opportunity to extend the free school meals voucher scheme, championed by footballer Marcus Rashford, over half term.
Local charity We Hear You are hosting some lockdown-proof virtual events to raise funds for their free counselling service for children and adults affected by cancer or a life-threatening condition.
Fundraising and Communications Manager Gemma Wilkes says: "In 2020, our work at We Hear You is more important and more needed than ever. We need to find new ways to raise the £5,000 a week it costs to run our service, so we're rising to the challenge and we hope you'll join us for some brilliant virtual events and activities this autumn and winter. Thanks so much to everyone who has supported WHY so far, it means so much."

Officers attended 41 reports of COVID-19 legislation breaches across the Avon and Somerset policing area from Wednesday 4 to Thursday 5 November, both before and after the new lockdown regulations came into force.
Dedicated units supported patrolling teams to respond to incidents.

The local Radstock hairdressers worked until just before the stroke of midnight to ensure that all their customers were lockdown ready, at least in the locks department.
